EUR/USD or Euro and U.S dollar is a currency pair used for denoting the value of the U.S dollar in relation to the Euro. The Euro is regarded as the base currency while the U.S. dollar is considered the quote currency. It tells us how much U.S dollars is needed to purchase one unit of the Euro. In Forex trading, dealing with this currency pair is known as trading Euros. Currency traders also call trading the EUR/USD currency pair by the nickname “Fiber”.
