Crude Oil Fundamental Analysis October 12, 2012 Forecast
Crude Oil bounced on positive sentiment as the US reported a positive change in unemployment with old and new claims reporting well below expectations. Crude climbed to 92.46 Nymex crude oil prices adding 0.5 percent taking cues from expectations of rise in US crude oil inventories coupled with slowdown in the Chinese economic growth. Apart from that strength in the DX also added downside pressure on the oil prices. Oil traded near its highest in a week in New York as concern that political tension in the Middle East may curb crude exports countered signs that supplies are building up as the global recovery falters. U.S. crude inventories probably rose 1.5 million barrels last week, according to a Bloomberg News survey before an Energy Department report tomorrow. The American Petroleum Institute (API) reported its weekly inventories and US crude oil inventories increased by 1.0 million barrels for the week ending on 5th October 2012.
Today’s inventory report stated: U.S. commercial crude oil inventories (excluding those in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve) increased by 1.7 million barrels from the previous week. At 366.4 million barrels, U.S. crude oil inventories are above the upper limit of the average range for this time of year.
