EUR/JPY Fundamental Analysis October 19, 2012 Forecast
The EUR/JPY continues to climb adding 7pips, to hit 1.0363 as the euro gains and the yen weakens simultaneously on separate events. The euro has been strong ahead of the EU Summit today and tomorrow, on the Moody’s confirmation of Spanish debt and news that Spain will request a bailout at the summit. The EU and ECB are supposedly in talks with Spain on what the best option would be. This could allow the use of the ESM and the OMT. While in Japan the yen is beginning to weaken as traders look for more risk and also on news that Prime Minister Noda has ordered the Finance Minister to introduce stimulus no later than November to help spur the economy.
