Analysis and Recommendations:
Natural Gas is trading at 2.958 down slightly for the day, as traders took advantage of the weakened USD to buy up commodities all around. Increasing demand for electricity production in Mexico, where the industrial production climbed up by more than 4.5 percent in the last month might continue to support gas prices in today’s session.
Expectation of rising space cooling demand may keep gas prices high for today’s session. MDA Earth Sat, another leading weather forecaster, said the 6 to 10-day forecast period would see cooler temperatures and characterized the forecast for the 11- to 15-day period as “a bit cooler than expected as well. In the current week we may expect natural gas storage injection figure to again come in below seasonal norms due to the effects of Hurricane Isaac, which shut most Gulf of Mexico production for several days. As per National Hurricane Centre, tropical depression strengthened to storm Nadine in North Atlantic might be creating concern of supply tightening.
