The NZD/USD gained 13 points to trade at 0.6546 after the release of a lackluster business confidence report, although the number was a lot stronger than the previous month. The US dollar advanced at the end of last week as currency markets experienced low volumes and poor liquidity as traders took an extended break around the US Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday.
This week is set to be much more action-packed, with central bank meetings in Australia and Europe, speeches by Federal Reserve officials including Janet Yellen and the final US payroll report before the Fed’s December interest rate review where it is expected to hike.
In China, reports due tomorrow will show how the manufacturing sector is tracking in Asia’s largest economy. China is New Zealand’s largest export market.
FxEmpire provides in-depth analysis for each currency and commodity we review. Fundamental analysis is provided in three components. We provide a detailed monthly analysis and forecast at the beginning of each month. Then we provide more up to the data analysis and information in our weekly reports.
