Web & Desktop Trading Platforms
“At Investous, you can trade the markets with a generic WebTrader or with the popular MT4 trading platform. The WebTrader works across all devices as it is web based. The MT4 platform needs to download as a Desktop client software or a mobile app.”
With Investous, you have two different types of trading platforms to access the financial markets with. They consist of a WebTrader and the industry proven MetaTrader 4 trading platform.
The Investous WebTrader is a fairly straightforward web-based trading platform that is taken from a third party as a turnkey product. It is no real match for more complex platforms like th MT4 or Sirix and perhaps not suited for professional use. It doesn’t support automated trading or the use of strategies and does not allow for complex charting or for your to save your work.
On the left side of the WebTrader platform are listed all the assets that can be traded. There is also a filter option which lets you filter the list based on the asset classes. Alternatively, you also have the option to filter the asset list based on its popularity.
In the middle of the trading screen, you can place your trade order. The functionalities that are available on this section include trading volume, executing the trade at the predefined price level, closing the trade at loss or closing the trade at profit.
On the right side of the trading screen, you will find the trading chart. It comes with some basic drawing tools such as trendlines, time frame adjustment, and type of chart to be displayed as well as a Zoom function. The chart also has a large library of technical indicators which can be overlaid onto the chart.
The MT4 Platform
The MT4 trading platform is a well known platform among traders in the online trading community. It is developed by Metaquotes Software and is often regarded as the forex trading industry standard trading platform. Traders love the MT4 trading platform as it has been proven to be a reliable, secure and stable trading platform. It also comes with a wide range of trading tools and a comprehensive charting package. The MT4 also has a large array of technical indicators which you can overlay onto your trading chart. But the most important feature of the MT4 trading platform is the fact that it can support automated trading through the use of “Expert Advisors” (EAs). EAs are essentially software scripts which allow MT4 users to define the way how a trade is being executed.
The MT4 platform also lets you execute a trade quickly as it is connected directly to Investous’ servers. Because of this direct connection, there is reduced latency as compared to trading with a web based platform.
Mobile Trading Platforms
“The MT4 platform is also available as a mobile trading app which you can download from Google PlayStore or Apple’s App Store. Additionally the WebTrader can be accessed through a web browser on mobiles or tablets”
To cater for an increasingly mobile capable trading community, Investous has also offered the MT4 mobile trader as part of its stable of trading platforms. The MT4 mobile trader allows you to perform functions such as charting, trade execution, and account management directly from your smartphone. There are a wide selection of indicators you can overlay to the trading charts and you stay updated on market news. On Google Playstore, the app has an average of 4.6 rating.
While the WebTrader does not have a stand alone app, it is responsive to mobile use and can be used across multiple devices.
“The company provides an economic calendar and Trading Central trading signals for professional traders only”
Apart from providing its clients with a reliable trading platform, Investous has also provided them with an economic calendar to help them keep track of major economic events that can affect the markets and professional traders will get access to Trading Central’s Trading Signals which includes daily news and updating signals.
Commissions & Spreads
“Investous doesn’t charge any commissions on the trades the traders executed on its trading platforms. Instead, traders are required to pay a spread on the Bid/Ask price. This is 2.3 pips on the basic account and drops down to 1.4 pips on Platinum account”
The spreads charged by Investous are floating spreads and varies according to the type of trading account the trader is trading from. The highest spread is from the basic account whereas VIP account holder gets to enjoy the lowest spreads. The table below shows some of the typical spreads each type of accounts will get to enjoy.
|EUR/USD 2.3 pips
||EUR/USD 1.8 pips
||EUR/USD 1.4 pips
||EUR/USD 0.9 pips
|GBP/USD 2.5 pips
||GBP/USD 2.2 pips

Bonus & Promotions
“In line with the regulatory requirements imposed by CySEC, Investous does not offer any kind of promotional offer or bonuses.”
Investous at present does not have any kind of bonuses or promotional offer. This is due to CySEC regulatory requirement that forbid financial services providers such as Investous from enticing clients to sign up with bonus offers.
“Customer Support at Investous is only available through the Web contact form on the broker’s website and Live Chat.”
Surprisingly, Investous has only two channels for its clients to contact the customer support team. They include Live chat and web contact form on the “Contact Us” page. I waited at least 10 minutes and still didn’t get a response through Live Chat and the automatic message I received can be seen below. I tried twice to contact Live Chat on two different days and at different times and got the same response.
“Investous does not seem to have provided its clients with any form of research materials or tools, although professional traders will get access to Trading Central’s news and signals package”
From our review of Investous, we noted that this broker does not provide its retail clients with any kind of research materials or tools. The only available news is the generic news which appears on the MT4 app and daily trading signals and news powered by Trading Central which is only available to the professional traders.
“Trader’s education at Investous is heavily reliant on training videos. In the educational center, you can choose from a wide selection of short videos to watch at your leisure.”
The trader’s educational resources at Investous comprises of:
- Short articles on forex and CFDs strategies
These are no helpful as they are tiny articles and cannot be used as a support for newbie traders.
The basic and intermediate videos are nice to watch and pretty helpful, although they are generic videos as featured on many broker websites.
I could find no back history of webinars, so don’t really know how helpful these are.
“Investous does not seem to offer a definitive product for all levels of trader. In our opinion the product seems best suited to beginners who will enjoy the simplicity of the WebTrader and the video library.”
Despite the lack of email and telephone support channels, Investous is still a broker that is able to meet the basic trading needs of its traders. The broker offers a decent selection of trading assets, choice of trading accounts, modest spreads and a VOD library. While the leverage ratio for normal “retail traders” is limited to 1:30, “professional traders” are still able to get leverage with a ratio as high as 1:400.
The broker is best suited for people that can get themselves up and running as it is hard to get in touch with the broker and there is limited research or education. Plus the platform would likely best serve beginners due to its simplicity.

“Although Investous is a relatively new broker, it is a regulated broker in two different jurisdictions. This helps to ensure that the broker is able to provide a safe and secure trading environment for its traders.The brand offers two platforms which include a web platform and the MT4 and quite high spreads.”
The fact that Investous is a regulated broker under CySEC and the International Financial Services Commission of Belize gives the trader a level of reassurance.
They offer two platforms which include a basic web platform for beginners and the MT4 for both beginners and advanced traders that are familiar with MT4 and may already appreciate using its features.
However, our review has shown that the spreads charged by Investous are rather on the high side. While contact with the company is hard to come by.
Nevertheless, the broker has still managed to provide a decent level of service that meets the needs of different categories of traders.
