The U.S. 10-year yield rises again in early Thursday action, as we are trying to sort out risk appetite, especially when it comes to the situation in the Middle East.

US 10-Year Yield Technical Analysis

The U.S. 10-year yield has risen a bit early during the trading session as I think people are somewhat coming to grips with the idea that maybe the tensions in the Gulf aren’t going anywhere. I’m really not sure why that was a surprise for people, but here we are. The 4.60% level continues to offer support for rates, so as long as rates remain somewhat elevated, I think we’ve got a situation where risk appetite is going to be very lumpy to say the least.
