The 10-year yield has shown itself to be a little bit noisy, and that does make a bit of sense considering that the jobs number came out on Thursday.

To say the least, the light sweet crude oil market has been very noisy during the first half of the year, which has me thinking about a few scenarios for the rest of this year.

Ultimately, I think we’re heading to a normal second half. I don’t see anything that’s going to be that different.

I think this is a market that will continue to be noisy, perhaps a tale of two stories.

The 1.14 level has been massive support, while the 1.1850 level above has been resistance. It’s very possible these levels will continue to dictate things, with perhaps the addition of 1.12 below.

Ultimately, I believe that stocks continue to attract inflows, all things being equal.

Gold prices remain under pressure near $4,000 as the U.S. Dollar Index breaks higher, but strong gold-to-dollar ratio signals and China’s buying suggest long-term buyers are still accumulating.

The US 10-year yield has pulled back slightly but then rose again to show signs of life.
