<p>The US dollar index is a chart I’m watching and will be watching all day because we have a Federal Reserve interest rate decision at the end of the session in New York. The reality is this is a day when you don’t necessarily have to trade so keep that in mind as I go through what I think will be worth watching.</p>

The US dollar continues to be in focus on Wednesday, especially as the Federal Reserve will have its latest interest rate decision. 

As long as the Americans continue to produce record high amounts of natural gas, it will be difficult for the market to gain much. Any rally will more likely than not be due to a short-term headline shock.

Natural Gas Price Analysis – Still Too Much Supply

The gold market has broken below the $5,000 level early on Wednesday as we wait for the long parade of central bank decisions.

Crude oil markets continue to see a bit of volatility, moving on the latest headlines coming out of the Middle East and the war in general.

Silver continues to see a bit of volatility on Wednesday, as we are looking at several central bank decisions in the next day or so. With this, silver remains a touch vulnerable for the moment.

The US dollar will be in focus on Wednesday as we wait for the Federal Reserve.

The DAX, TSX, and Nikkei all look like they want to rise, but there are still concerns on the minds of traders.

Natural gas futures slide as mild weather and strong supply weigh on demand, with inventory trends pointing to a sideways-to-lower market outlook.

Last week, the market was all about whether tensions would ease off and the current situation in the Strait of Hormuz. The positioning data suggests that the market is still structurally bullish, but getting more crowded. Expect to see some pretty wild price movements and a lot of activity around

Platinum prices corrected after reaching a record high in early 2026 amid rising geopolitical tensions and macro uncertainty, but the market remains supported by a structural supply deficit and tight physical conditions.
