The US interest rates are dropping again in the early part of Monday, with risk appetite perhaps picking up again.

The AI trade is trying to reassert itself on Monday, as the recent selloff may have been a bit overdone.

History may not always repeat itself, but it often rhymes. The current inflation cycle shares noticeable resemblances with the 1970s, characterised by energy-driven price shocks and repeated waves of price increases. Based on these observed patterns, could markets be underestimating the risk that the toughest phase is yet to come?

Gold and silver prices are rebounding as lower oil prices ease Treasury yields, while rising US debt and the gold-to-silver ratio support the long-term bull case for precious metals.

The ongoing US-Iran ceasefire amid Iran-Israel tensions allowed gold and silver to focus on technical levels. Gold rebounded off $4,049 support while silver traded at $57.97. Persistent central bank buying offers a solid floor for both metals.

With geopolitical risk premium largely removed, oil benchmarks faced renewed selling pressure while natural gas showed resilience. WTI confirms bearish breakdown targeting $63.01, Brent tests channel floor at $73.24, and NatGas holds $3.251. Full analysis for traders.
