What I Am Watching Today – Yields, Platinum, NASDAQ and DAX

The Nasdaq 100 eyes support at 29,000, platinum attracts dip buyers near $1,600, and the DAX tests its 200-day EMA as elevated yields pressure markets.

The first chart I’m looking at is the U.S. 2-year yield, with a modest drop after the rebound on Monday. The October 19 par yield is 4.77%, up 3 basis points from 4.74%. The 10-year rose 6 basis points to 5.15%, leaving the 10-year/2-year spread at 38 basis points.
