Hyperliquid (HYPE) has jumped by nearly 17% in the past 24 hours following news of a deal with the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) to launch perpetual futures powered by trade.xyz in the United States.

According to the official press release, the scope of the deal is as follows: “ICE is the exclusive operator of Trade[XYZ]’s regulated markets and intends to establish a new, dedicated, regulated retail market and clearing structure for that purpose.”
This is a milestone moment for Hyperliquid, a project that has revolutionized the TradFi segment of the crypto space by developing a solid layer-one (L1) blockchain built specifically for housing perps.
The platform has demonstrated its resilience during the most complex market conditions, and user growth, along with rising open interest (OI) and volumes, showcases that traders love it.
Trade.XYZ Processed $115 Billion in Volumes in June 2026
ICE intends to rely on Hyperliquid’s HIP-3 market, focused entirely on real-world assets like tokenized stocks and commodities, and will work with trade.xyz to cater to retail traders — a segment they don’t currently serve.
This new market will offer 24/7 access to these assets and will be fully compliant with U.S. laws by ensuring the implementation of proper Know Your Customer (KYC) and anti money-laundering (AML) policies.
“We’ve seen a clear increase in retail participation in markets, and that participation is becoming far more global, with retail traders increasingly seeking short-duration exposure, often around the clock. Together with Trade[XYZ], and subject to regulatory approvals, we intend to bring these markets into a U.S. regulated framework,” commented Jeffrey C. Sprecher, Chief Executive Officer of ICE.

HIP-3 hit a peak in monthly volumes in late June, processing $115 billion worth of tokenized RWAs through its platform according to on-chain data from Hyperliquid Stats. Since then, traders’ activity has declined a bit, but open interest just hit a new record in September at nearly $4 billion and will likely close October at or very near those levels.
The market greeted the news, and trading volumes have surged by 200% as HYPE consolidated a strong bounce off the $75 support area as a result of today’s move.
HYPE Eyes Move to $100 as ICE Deal Could Bring Billions to Its Blockchain
Today’s move hit our take-profit target of $89 from the previous Hyperliquid price prediction, and could be opening the floodgates to a sustained climb to the next target — $100 per token.

Turning to the daily chart, we are seeing some selling pressure at the current all-time high already, but the magnitude of today’s news should be sufficient to break this barrier in the next few days.
ICE could spearhead the adoption of decentralized platforms like Hyperliquid among giants of the financial industry in the United States. This is the second relevant move from the exchange, paired with its OKX joint venture, to start targeting retail traders in the U.S.
This could bring billions to the Hyperliquid blockchain, increasing its metrics and further strengthening the project’s fundamentals, all of which should translate into a higher valuation down the road.
