XRP (XRP) just climbed from a session low of $1.24 to $1.27 as sentiment toward this altcoin appears to be improving among deep-pocketed investors.
Trading volumes in the past 24 hours jumped by 40%, now accounting for 3% of the asset’s circulating market cap, as buying pressure appears to be ticking up.
The market seems to be ready to shake off the wave of negative sentiment that came after the Binance hack, as the exchange has already informed that it will fully cover customer losses and has replenished its reserves to nearly 100%.

Meanwhile, the market is apparently focusing more on the technicals and not much on the macroeconomic backdrop, as the next interest rate decision from the Federal Reserve is more than a month away.
Moreover, the market will set its eyes on Friday’s jobs report, as the Fed appears to be more focused on economic growth and employment and not solely on inflation to make monetary policy decisions.
Whales Position for a Recovery as 1M+ Wallet Count Increases
Now that interest rate chatter is on pause, the market could have some breathing room to truly recover in the next few weeks, and whale activity seems to be indicating that the “smart money” has positive expectations about the future.

According to on-chain data from Santiment, the number of wallets holding more than 1 million XRP tokens has climbed to a new record for 2026.
In total, 2,147 wallets are now part of this prestigious “club”, as Santiment deems it, which indicates persistent accumulation since the August rally.
These whales have not sold into the latest pullback. Instead, they appear to be buying the dip frantically. This explains why the price bounced strongly off the $1.26 area multiple times in the past few weeks.
Now that XRP has recovered above that area, the road could be paved to overpower sellers if this kind of buying pressure endures in the next few days.

Turning to the 4-hour chart, we can clearly see that XRP bounced strongly off a first buy zone located at the mid-point of a massive fair value gap (FVG) left behind by the August uptick.

The price has surged by 6.7% since hitting that mark, indicating that bullish momentum is getting stronger. This is confirmed by the Relative Strength Index (RSI), as the oscillator briefly surged above 60, which is typically interpreted as a buy signal.
However, even though these signals are encouraging, we still need the price to confirm a reversal of its current bearish structure by climbing above the $1.32 area once again. During today’s session, that level has been retested, but not yet broken.
If a bullish breakout is confirmed, XRP may set eyes on $1.40 or even $1.55 in the near term. This implies a 21% upside potential if the uptrend continues toward the highest of those two targets.
That said, Wall Street still needs to join this rally, as net inflows to exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have been progressively drying up since the Clarity Act was shelved by the U.S. Congress.
Net inflows last month booked their second consecutive month of negative growth, while investors have barely touched these vehicles during the first couple of days of November.
XRP still has a long way to go before we can call this latest rebound the beginning of a true recovery, but it sure looks promising.
