Zcash Price Prediction: ZEC Bull Run May Still Be Early

Zcash (ZEC) has surged by 128% in the past 30 days — a move that has allowed it to flip Dogecoin (DOGE) in the 10th spot and close in on Hyperliquid (HYPE).

The token briefly hit a multi-year high of $1,254, as we predicted in our latest Zcash price prediction.

After such a strong rally, it seems plausible to expect a short-term breather or even a pronounced decline. However, the latest price action suggests that ZEC’s rally could be just getting started.

Trading volumes remain high at $1.6 billion, accounting for 8% of the asset’s circulating market cap.

Zcash Social Metrics Exploded After August’s Rally

On August 21, social metrics for Zcash exploded. This triggered a powerful buy signal, as the 7-day moving average crossed above the 30-day MA for social volumes.

The last two times this crossover has happened, the price of ZEC rallied strongly just days later, and this is exactly what happened this time.

Now that Zcash is once again on investors’ crosshairs, while positive momentum is on the side of bulls, we could expect the continuation of this rally.

Market sentiment has improved dramatically in the past few days, with the Crypto Fear and Greed Index rising from a recent low of 36 to 75 at the time of writing. Investors are now in Greed mode, and Zcash has emerged as the “momentum play” at the time.

The token’s clear use case and the blockchain’s ability to bounce back after an exploit in its code was discovered helped ZEC make a strong comeback. Users have adopted the new Ironwood shielded vault to mask transactions by using the token, leaving its primary use case intact.

Open Interest (OI) Suggests This Bull Market is Still in Its Early Stages

Meanwhile, data from CoinGlass shows that open interest (OI) in Zcash jumped to a new all-time high at $2.8 billion on September 6. This indicates strong positioning in the futures market for the continuation of this rally.

However, if the metric is expressed in ZEC, which is a better way to analyze open interest as it eliminates the impact of a higher price in USD, the highest level on record was 2.56 million ZEC tokens on December 28, 2025.

The latest peak pushed the amount of outstanding tokens held in futures contracts to 2.39 million, meaning that this could still be an early stage of this bull market compared to previous cycles when the price was much lower, yet OI was higher.

Zcash Could Rise to $2.5K in the Long Term After Triangle Breakout

Heading to the daily chart, as we stated in a previous Zcash price prediction, the token broke past a long-dated resistance at $680. This breakout confirmed the bullish bias of an ascending triangle setup that has now set the stage for a strong rally to $2,500 in the long term.

Positive momentum continues to be strong, as the Relative Strength Index (RSI) rose to 87 for a second time in less than 15 days. A slight bearish divergence popped up in this time frame already, increasing the odds of a strong pullback in the near term.

The current bullish structure of the price action suggests an upcoming pullback to $860 if early buyers start cashing out their trades. That would give late buyers a chance to enter this rally if they expect its continuation to that $2.5K target.
