Croatia’s unemployment rate fell to 3.8% in June 2025, down from 4.1% in the previous month. This marked the lowest level since records began in December 1996. The number of unemployed persons declined by 4.4% month-on-month, reaching a record low of 70 thousand. Meanwhile, total employment rose by 1.1% to 1.8 million, with employment in legal entities increasing by 0.7% to 1.5 million. Among those in paid employment within legal entities, the largest gains were seen in accommodation and food service activities (+9%), administrative and support service activities (+1.2%), and arts, entertainment, and recreation (+1%). For comparison, the unemployment rate stood at 4.7% in June 2024.
