Hungary’s trade surplus shrank to EUR 1,378 million in April 2025 from EUR 1,732 million in the same month last year, as exports dropped while imports rose. Year-on-year, exports declined by 1.5% to EUR 12,347 million, while imports grew by 1.5% to EUR 10,969 million. Considering the first four months of the year, the country’s trade surplus narrowed to EUR 5,359 million from EUR 5,626 million in the corresponding period a year ago.
