SYN CITY, a “mafia metaverse” blockchain game, announced that it had appointed American singer and five-time Grammy Award nominee Swae Lee as its new Chief Entertainment Officer (CEO).

The announcement comes in the midst of the booming intersection between metaverse gaming, digital art, and music, which had been widely covered recently by the mainstream media.

Lee’s New Duties

Lee will oversee day-to-day operations in entertainment marketing, music, NFTs, eSports, A-List KOLs, music tech software, plus building partnerships in the sports industry.

“In a short time, we have onboarded dozens of key opinion leaders, partners, and innovators with an aggregated user base of over 160 million users across social platforms. We are only at the beginning. Our ambition was always to attract intellectual capital and talent to augment our constant, live feedback with our community via Twitter Spaces, TikTok, and more. We needed real expertise in these fields to help SYN CITY surpass the next level. Swae Lee checks all the right boxes across the board,” Roy Liu, SYN CITY Co-Founder, commented.

Bolstering SYN CITY Metaverse Marketing Efforts in 2022

Recently, Lee collaborated with Jhené Aiko and released an official video for their hit collaboration, “In The Dark,” from “Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings.” Lee is also the featured artist behind “Sunflower” by Post Malone, which hit the top of the Billboard charts last year and was nominated for two 2020 Grammys.

The blockchain game based in the metaverse forecast a critical year ahead of where it looks to bolster its marketing strategy, including content creation, influencer marketing, licensing, or capitalizing on cultural moments, the SYN CITY team pointed out in the press release shared with FXEmpire.

“I always do stuff that is interesting, either to me or my millions of followers,” Swae Lee, SYN CITY’s new Chief Entertainment Officer, added. According to the company behind the project, his appointment is also effective immediately.
