Friday brings the latest US Employment Report; let’s take a closer look with the Economic Calendar.
UK Construction PMI for May is up first at 8:30 AM. The Index gained point 9 points in April, bolstered by growth in civil engineering and home building.
Euro Zone Producer Price Index for April follows at 9. A strong drop in energy prices pushed the total lower in March.
So the closely watched US Employment Report for May comes at 12:30 PM GMT. April brought yet another strong labour report, which was a welcome change following the slightly weaker-than-anticipated March data.
US Trade Balance for April is out at the same time. Trade deficit saw little change in March as both exports and imports went down at pretty much the same pace.
And Canadian Trade Balance for April comes at this time as well. Trade deficit narrowed in March as exports reached a record-high level and the trade balance now stands just a fraction in the negative territory.
