Investors will keep their eyes on Wall Street as it opens today after a selloff which occurred on Friday because of a news report which proved wrong. Factory Orders will come from the U.S today, and Eurogroup meetings will be held in Brussels.

Wall Street Expects Strong Opening, Politics Hyper-Sensitive in States

Wall Street is expected to open higher today after late volatility on Friday saw it decline because of a ‘news report’ regarding the Trump White House which proved to be wrong. Political news remains hyper-sensitive in the U.S and this is not going to change. Factory Orders data will come from the States today.

Japan Consumer Confidence Beats Estimate, Asian Markets Mixed Early

Consumer Confidence numbers from Japan beat their estimate fractionally today. However, the Nikkei Index has seen cautious selling early. The Shanghai Shenzhen and Hang Seng composites have put in gains. The Yen remains under the 113.00 level against the U.S Dollar.

Eurogroup Meetings Underway, Euro & Pound Give Back Some Gains

Eurogroup meetings will take place in Brussels all day with the top European finance ministers attending, and the Brexit is certain to be a talking point. Next week’s meetings between the U.K and E.U loom. The Euro and Pound have experienced some early selling this morning but remain within higher valued boundaries against the U.S Dollar. A Sentix Investor Confidence reading will be released for the European Union this morning.

Consistent Range Trading in Gold, Choppy Conditions Expected

Gold remains a test of wills with consistent range trading. Early selling this morning has pushed the precious metal towards support, and it is near 1274.00 U.S Dollars an ounce. Choppy trading is likely to continue for the Gold short term.

Investor Survey from the European Union, U.S Manufacturing Purchasing Data

The Construction Purchasing Managers Index numbers from the U.K will prove interesting for investors at 9:30 GMT.
