Heavy Metal Magazine is entering the Web3 space, which will see NFT holders collaborate on Heavy Metal's upcoming stories.

Web3 is characterized by decentralization, in which users are also benefited by supporting or collaborating with artists and creators.

The collection will be available through Crypto.com NFT marketplace on February 4 and is titled “Writing With the Legends.” The NFT holders will be granted medallion animations along with other new experiences.

Matthew Medney, Heavy Metal CEO, commented:

“This project we are doing with Crypto.com NFT is the first of its kind — a true partnership between creative professionals and creative enthusiasts, putting the lovers of fiction with Heavy Metal’s best to create original new stories for everyone to enjoy”.

The holders of the NFT tokens on a particular date will have access to a private channel of Heavy Metal’s Discord server.

One of the most exciting benefits of the holders is the opportunity to collaborate in the upcoming five stories with Heavy Metal’s writing team.

Two of the five stories will be based on Heavy Metal’s “Taarna” and “Cold Dead War”, and the other three stories will be new originals, one of fantasy, the other of horror, and the last one of science fiction. The holders will be able to choose the artist for each story.

After the stories are finished, the best five favorite characters will be decided by a vote from their fans. The characters will become profile picture projects (PFP) NFTs and each token will be airdropped to each collector holder, who will have 100% of its commercial rights.
