Consumer Confidence numbers from Japan were better than expected. The Nikkei Index has put in stellar gains this morning. Construction PMI results from the U.K have faltered. Wall Street is expected to open slightly higher today.

Dow Jones Called to Open Higher, Jobs Data Begins Wednesday

The Dow Jones Industrials will begin trading today above the 22,500 level. And early calls on the three major Indexes via the Futures Markets are positive. Today will be a light day of data from the States, but Total Vehicle Sales numbers will be released throughout the day from U.S car manufacturers. Tomorrow, the ADP Non-Farm Employment Change results will be published, which will start the jobs data parade the remainder of the week.

Nikkei Puts in Huge Gains Again, Consumer Confidence Improves in Japan

The Yen continues to trade in a weakened state against the U.S Dollar as risk appetite has shown no signs of slowing down in Japan. The Nikkei Index put in a huge day of gains today and has now gained over 4 and a half percent the past month. Japanese Consumer Confidence numbers were also better than expected with a result of 43.9.

Euro and Pound Pressure Continues, Services PM Reports Tomorrow

The Euro and Pound remain under massive pressure from the stronger U.S Dollar in the wake of good economic reports from the States. Construction PMI results from the U.K faltered today with a negative result. But the FTSE 100 is up marginally in early trading. While manufacturing numbers from Europe and the U.K proved unimpressive yesterday, tomorrow Services PMI numbers will be released and get a chance to create broad market action.

Gold Near Speculative Support Level, Slight Gains Early in Gold

Gold has put in slight gains the past couple of hours and is near 1270.00 U.S Dollars an ounce. The precious metal has been under vast pressure the past two weeks and is near vital support levels which remain speculative.

Car Sale Reports from States, Fed Speech in Washington Coming

Federal Reserve member Jerome Powell will speak in Washington D.C today at 12:30 GMT and get the attention of traders.
