(Reuters) - A magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck the Tarapaca region in Chile on Saturday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre said.

(Reuters) – A magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck the Tarapaca region in Chile on Saturday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre said.

The quake was at a depth of 155 kilometers (96.31 miles) below the earth’s surface.
