Shiba Inu Themed Restaurant is Ready to Expand Globally

A Shiba Inu-themed restaurant Welly’s is about to go global. 

The restaurant announced earlier today that it’d be accepting new franchisers after it had received hundreds of requests across the world.

With this announcement, those who intend to obtain a franchise license can apply for it via Welly’s official website.

Many members of the #ShibArmy greeted the news with excitement, with some already applying for a franchise license. 

The fast-food restaurant recently opened its first burger joint in Naples, Italy. This resulted from a partnership involving Shytoshi Kusama, Shiba Inu’s lead developer, and Welly’s team.

Welly’s opened its first joint in 2021 to provide healthy fast food for customers. However, it also wanted to offer more value for its patrons, and this was where the idea of partnering with SHIB Community came in. 

The restaurant accepts the Shiba Inu token and uses the Shiba Inu dog as its official image.

According to Sytoshi then, the partnership with Welly’s is in line with the decentralized foundation of Shiba Inu tokens. It also marked the first foray of the SHIB project into real life, but it won’t be the last. 

While Welly’s is based in Naples, the franchise option allows it to become a global brand. Already, some in ShibArmy are comparing this moment to when McDonald’s first started in 1955.

There are indications that the restaurant is also planning to release NFTs soon.

SHIBA Inu Rises by Around 18% in 24 Hours

For SHIB, the expansion is also positive news. Since the Shiba Inu token will be the official cryptocurrency for all Welly’s franchises, the success of these franchises will be a positive catalyst for the token price.

Currently, the Shib token is trading at $0.00003372 and has seen a 18% rise in the past 24 hours. With the crypto market recovering, Shiba Inu has also regained its footing as the number two memecoin in the world and now ranks as the thirteenth largest crypto asset by market cap. 

Although it’s hard to tell if the recent news has had any impact on the price action, the franchise’s success could influence the value of the asset in the future.

Available information has shown that the Shiba Inu team is currently developing a Layer-2 protocol named Shibarium to further boost its brand of the asset.
