ISTANBUL, July 8 (Reuters) - Turkey's central bank said on Friday the country's current account deficit in May widened to $6.468 billion.

ISTANBUL, July 8 (Reuters) – Turkey’s central bank said on Friday the country’s current account deficit in May widened to $6.468 billion.

The figure is less than a Reuters forecast for a deficit of $6.7 billion.

In April, the current account deficit was $2.948 billion.

In 2021 Turkey’s current account deficit was $14.882 billion.
