The three major Indexes struggled yesterday in the States as investors look for consistency. Apple will release its earnings reports after the market closes.

Quiet Equity Markets via Labor Day in Euro, Wall Street Open for Business

Equities will be extremely quiet in Europe because of Labor Day celebrations. However, the U.K is open for business and a manufacturing report has been published, slightly below analysts’ expectations. Wall Street will trade, but yesterday’s results did not help investor confidence. The three major Indexes continue to produce challenging results as traders fret about interest rate yields and the strong U.S Dollar, and trying to find positive momentum on a consistent basis. A U.S manufacturing report will be issued shortly, but the markets are anticipating the Fed’s Monetary Policy Statement tomorrow and hope that it provides clarity regarding future interest rate hikes.

Investors will also watch earnings reports with Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) in focus.

The Euro is testing early January values, as a combination of lackluster European data and the strong Dollar trend have caused a major shift in sentiment the past two weeks. The Fed will be a key ingredient in forex tomorrow, but the U.S will also issue the Average Hourly Earnings on Friday which will impact investors.

Key Psychological Level being Approached, Decline Mounts in Gold

Gold has fallen below 1310.00 U.S Dollars in the past few hours as selling pressure persists. The precious metal is approaching the important psychological mark of 1300.00 Dollars, and should it falter to this level it would trigger more volatility.
