The alt coins struggled a bit during the trading session on Friday, as the selling in the crypto currency markets continues. Until the larger crypto currencies do better, it’s going to be difficult to imagine that the alt coins are going to do well.
Bitcoin Gold fell during the trading session, losing about 4% during the day on Friday. We did recover some of the loss, as the $170 level offered a bit of support. Ultimately, I think that the market has a “ceiling” at the $200 level, so it’s not until we break above there that I am convinced that the buyers have returned. Beyond that, I need to have some type of volume as well, but it seems like the only volume we have been getting these days has been to the downside.
DASH traders sold off during the trading session on Friday, breaking below the $800 level. We bounced to test that area again, but now we are starting to roll over yet again on thin volume. The lack of volume is going to continue to be an issue in this market, keeping it from rallying for any significant amount of time. Because of this, I need to see volume returned to the market before you take any signal with more than skepticism, unless of course it’s to the downside which seems to be working quite well.
Monero sold off during the day, crashing below the $300 level but finding a bit of support underneath there. Volume has been thin as we have seen over the last couple of weeks, but right now I think the market is simply trending sideways, meaning that it’s difficult to trade for any length of time, offering scalping opportunities back and forth at best.
