Latest Updates
Belgium’s annual inflation rate fell to 2.55% in April 2025, marking the third consecutive month of decline, down from 2.91% in the previous month. The main downward pressure came from slower price growth in housing and utilities (5.9% vs 7.6%); recreation and culture (2% vs 2.3%); and miscellaneous goods and services (3.5% vs 3.7%), as well as a steeper drop in transport prices (-0.7% vs -0.1%). Meanwhile, these declines were partially offset by modest price increases in food and non-alcoholic beverages (2.8% vs 2.5%) and health (1.8% vs 1.7%), along with a slower decline in clothing and footwear prices (-2.2% vs -3.7%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell by 0.83% in April, following a marginal 0.07% decrease in March.
