Bulgaria Tourist Arrivals

The number of tourist arrivals in Bulgaria rose by 1.5% year-on-year to 767.7 thousand in March 2025, following a 3.1% increase in the previous month. Holiday and recreation trips increased by 4.5%, visits for other purposes rose by 1.1%, while those for professional purposes declined by 4.7%. From a regional perspective, the EU accounted for 54.1% of all visits to Bulgaria, with Romania (37.3%) and Greece (31.1%) being the top contributors. Meanwhile, 38.9% of arrivals came from other European countries, predominantly Turkey (57.7%).
