The unemployment rate in Kazakhstan remained unchanged at 4.6% in Q1 2025, the same as in the previous two quarters. The number of unemployed individuals decreased by 1.2 thousand from a year earlier to 451.5 thousand, while the number of employed individuals rose to 71.2 thousand to reach 9.3 million. Additionally, the jobless rate for youth ranging from ages 15 to 34 edged down to 3.1% from 3.3% in the fourth quarter of 2024. Meanwhile, the labor force grew by 115.1 thousand year-on-year to 9.74 million.
