Mauritania Inflation Rate

The annual inflation rate in Mauritania eased to 1.3% in November 2023 from 1.7% in the previous month. It was the lowest reading since December 2017, mainly due to lower inflation for food & non-alcoholic beverages (6.8% vs 8.5% in October), alcoholic beverages & tobacco (12.1% vs 13.8%), and housing & utilities (6.8% vs 7.1%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell 0.1%, following a 0.2% rise in October.
