The Netherlands’ seasonally adjusted unemployment rate stood at 3.8% in June 2025, unchanged for the third consecutive month. The number of unemployed individuals rose by 1,000 to 386,000, while employment fell to 9.832 million. The labor force participation rate also held steady at 76.1%. During the period, the number of unemployment benefits decreased by 3,000 to 183,600, with the sharpest decline seen among young people under 25 (-3.7%) and aged 25 to 35 (-2.7%). Compared to a year earlier, the jobless rate was 0.2 percentage points higher than the 3.6% recorded in June 2024.
