Norway’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to 4.5% in October 2025, the lowest in three months, from 4.8% in September. The number of unemployed persons decreased by 7 thousand from a month earlier to 138 thousand. Meanwhile, the employment rate picked up to 69.8% from a more than four-year low of 69.0% in the previous month, with the number of employed individuals rising by 34 thousand to 2.915 million. The labor force participation rate went up to 73.1% from a six-month low of 72.5% in the September. The youth unemployment rate, which measures the number of job-seekers aged 15 to 24, held steady at 14.4%.
