Romania’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate decreased to 5.7% in April 2025 from an upwardly revised 6% in the previous month. This marks the first decline in the jobless rate this year. The number of unemployed persons reduced by 23.5 thousand from a month earlier to 467.4 thousand. The jobless rate for men edged up to 6% from 5.9% in March, while rate for women decreased to 5.5% from 6.2% in the preceding period.
