Housing loans, which make up 83% of total household lending, saw a slight uptick to 2% year-on-year in April, compared to 1.9% in the previous month. Meanwhile, consumption loans—accounting for 6% of total household lending—grew at an annual rate of 4.9%, accelerating from 4.4% in March. The average interest rate on new mortgage agreements stood at 3.13% in April, with the average floating rate at 3.15%. The annual growth rate for lending to non-financial corporations rose 1.5% in April 2025, remaining in positive territory for the third consecutive month.
