United States Michigan Inflation Expectations

The year-ahead inflation expectations in the United States, as compiled by the survey of the University of Michigan, fell for the fourth month to 4.2% in December 2025, the lowest in nearly a year, slightly above the preliminary estimate of 4.1%. Meanwhile, the five-year inflation outlook eased for the second month to a near one-year low of 3.2% in December, in line with the preliminary reading, down from 3.4% in November.
