World of Women x The Sandbox

On International Women’s Day, two of the most prominent Ethereum NFT projects – The Sandbox and World of Women joined forces.

The $25 million funding is created with a mission to ‘celebrate representation, inclusivity, and equal opportunities for all in the Web3 space.’

The Sandbox has granted the WoW Foundation funding of $25 million over five years to drive female inclusivity through education and mentorship. The funding also aims to amplify the representation of women in decentralized web spaces.

Furthermore, a press release by the firms read,

“World of Women and The Sandbox will work together to achieve its mission of enhancing the open metaverse and encouraging more female participation through a series of interactive experiences.”

Additionally, these missions will be achieved through the WoW Foundation. The partnership will focus on four things – supporting artists and funding projects, educating newcomers, giving more visibility to women-centric causes, and giving back to charities.

That said, the fund will also provide business development opportunities across the growing networks of The Sandbox, Animoca Brands, and Brinc.

WoW and The Sandbox Paving Way for Development

With the WoW Foundation, World of Women brings more women into the burgeoning metaverse and the NFT space. On the other hand, The Sandbox has been in the news primarily due to celebrities hopping on the NFT bandwagon.

On Wednesday, Animoca Brands and The Sandbox announced a partnership with Cube Entertainment to take K-Culture global via NFTs and the Metaverse.

Additionally, world-famous rapper Snoop Dogg announced the conversion of his album Death Row into the world’s first NFT music label in February.

That said, SAND’s price at press time oscillated at $2.89, noting an 11% fall on the weekly. SAND traded close to its lower support level, near $2.77.

The recent market-centric updates seemingly offered no significant push to the coin regarding price.
