The Dow Jones 30 and the NASDAQ 100 have both rallied during the trading session on Thursday as we continue to see higher lows, which is a very bullish sign. I believe that every time we pull back, value hunters will come back into the market.

Dow Jones 30 daily chart, April 13, 2018

Dow Jones 30

The Dow Jones 30 has rallied a bit during the trading session on Thursday, reaching towards the 24,500 level. The market could continue to go higher, perhaps reaching towards the 25,000 level. I believe that short-term pullbacks are buying opportunities in a market that continues to show higher lows, and of course is reacting to the noise coming out of the US – China situation. I believe that the call murder that we are in that situation, the more likely we will see this market go higher. If we break down below the 24,000 level, we could find support underneath.

NASDAQ 100

The NASDAQ 100 also has been making higher lows, looking very likely to try to break above the 6700 level. If we can get above that level, it’s likely that we could continue to go much higher, perhaps reaching towards the 7000 level over the longer term. I like buying short-term pullbacks, with the 6500-level offering support. The market continues to be very noisy, and I think that we will continue to go right along with the risk appetite in general due to the situation between the United states in China just as we do in the Dow Jones 30. I believe that the NASDAQ 100 is especially sensitive, as a lot of the tariffs would have had a massive influence on technology in general. Ultimately, this is a market that I believe continues to find reasons to go higher regardless.
