EUR/USD, AUD/USD and Copper: Falling Yields Shift the Setup

Falling U.S. yields could weaken the dollar, supporting EUR/USD and AUD/USD rebounds while copper holds its 50-day EMA and broader bullish trend.

US 2 Year Yield Technical Analysis

TradingView daily candlestick chart of the US 2-Year Yield showing an upward trend towards 4.910% above the 50-day EMA at 4.470% and 200-day EMA at 4.089%.
TradingView daily chart illustrating the sharp rise in the US 2-year yield to around 4.910%.

The US two-year yield is calming down a little bit, as is the 10-year yield. I’m watching both, but I’m paying a little bit more attention to the 2-year yield to see if it rolls over. If it does, that might provide a little bit of U.S. dollar weakness. We are seeing several currency pairs get a little bit stretched at the moment in favor of the U.S. dollar, so a little bit of giveback would not necessarily be the biggest surprise.
