Market Overview

The S&P 500 closed at 7,580.06, up +1.43% on the week. The index extended its advance and finished near the recent high of 7,599.38.

The Nasdaq Composite closed at 26,972.62, gaining +2.39% for the week. Technology leadership remained firm, supported by continued AI investment trends and strong business spending.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 51,032.47, rising +0.90%. The index remained near record territory after rebounding from its March low.

Markets ended the week encouraged by reports of an extended U.S.–Iran ceasefire and the potential reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Falling oil prices supported equities and bonds.
