Consumer prices in El Salvador rose 1.14% year-over-year in November 2025, up from 0.93% in October, marking the third consecutive month of inflation. It remained the highest rate since August 2024. The increase was led by food (and related items), which rose 2.28% (from 1.41% in October). Additional upward pressure came from restaurants and hotels (3.48% vs 3.41%) and healthcare (2.22% vs 1.88%), while housing and utilities eased to 1.30% from 1.68%. By contrast, prices continued to fall for transport (-2.86% vs -2.02%), clothing and footwear (-0.62% vs -0.72%), household goods (-0.12% vs -0.60%), and communications (-0.37% vs -0.36%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.11% in November, following a 0.28% increase in October.
