Latest Updates
The annual inflation rate in Mongolia rose by 8.6% in April 2025, marking the lowest level in five months and down from 9.1% in the previous month. The decline was mainly driven by weaker inflation in food and non-alcoholic beverages (6.9% vs 8.4% in March), transport (3.7% vs 4.8%), furnishings, household equipment and tools (6.5% vs 7%), and miscellaneous goods and services (11% vs 11.6%). However, these effects were partly offset by a continued strong increase in housing and utilities (21.7% vs 21.8%), as well as an acceleration in price growth for insurance and financial services (15.3% vs 11%) and for restaurants and hotels (16.7% vs 14.6%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.3% in April, matching the increase recorded in the previous month.
