The annual inflation rate in Morocco slowed to 1.6% in March 2025 from February's 15-month high of 2.6%. This marked the softest pace since last December, with food and non-alcoholic beverages rising the least in three months (2.3% vs 4.7% in February). Also, prices moderated for clothing and footwear (1.0% vs 1.1%), miscellaneous goods and services (1.7% vs 1.8%), and alcoholic beverages and tobacco (2.3% vs 2.9%). Additionally, costs declined at a faster pace for transport (-2.4% vs -1.7%) and recreation and culture (-0.5% vs -0.1%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell by 0.3% in March, the first monthly decline in three months, reversing a 0.3% rise in February.
