Others include: Housing and Utilities (7.8 percent); Clothing and Footwear (7.7 percent); Household Contents, Equipment and Maintenance (6.9 percent) and Communication (5.9 percent). Education, Miscellaneous Goods and Services, Recreation and Culture, Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco and Health account for the remaining 9.9 percent of total weight.

The annual inflation rate in Mozambique eased to 3.96% in July 2025 from a three-month high of 4.15% in the prior month. Prices slowed down primarily for food & non-alcoholic beverages (8.99% vs 9.38% in June); health (5.14% vs 6.05%); furnishings & household equipment (4.01% vs 4.23%); and communications (0.66% vs 0.76%). Moreover, prices declined much faster for transportation (-2.05% vs -1.17%). On a monthly basis, the CPI fell by 0.22% in July, after a 0.07% decrease in the previous month.
