In Turkey, economic confidence index is a composite index that encapsulates consumers’ and producers’ evaluations, expectations and tendencies about general economic situation. The index is combined by means of a weighted aggregation of normalized sub-indices of consumer confidence, seasonally adjusted real sector (manufacturing industry), services, retail trade and construction confidence indices. The economic confidence index indicates an optimistic outlook about the general economic situation when the index is above 100, on contrary it indicates a pessimistic outlook when it is below 100.

Latest Updates

The Economic Confidence Index in Turkey rose to 99.5 in November 2025 from 98.2 in October, the highest reading since March. Sentiment improved across all sectors, led by consumer confidence, rising 1.6% to 85.0, followed by the real sector index, which gained 1.2% to 103.2, reflecting stronger production and order expectations. The services sector also advanced 1.0% to 111.8, driven by higher activity in tourism, transport, and business services. Additionally, retail sentiment edged up 0.9% to 114.2, remaining one of the most upbeat sectors, while construction sentiment climbed 1.5% to 84.9, partially reversing October’s decline. Despite remaining just below the neutral 100 threshold, the steady rise in the headline index suggests increasing optimism heading into year-end, supported by firmer demand and improving sectoral conditions.
