About
Thomas Gillet is a Director in Scope’s Sovereign and Public Sector ratings group, responsible for ratings and research on a number of sovereign borrowers. Before joining Scope, Thomas worked for Global Sovereign Advisory, a financial advisory firm based in Paris dedicated to sovereign and quasi-sovereign entities.
Prior to this, he worked for seven years with the French Ministry of Finance – Directorate General of the Treasury – as an analyst in the “International Debt and Paris Club Secretariat” and “Economic Policies and International Risks” units. Thomas started his career as a Financial Attaché at the French Embassy in South Africa, after experience in the economic research department of Coface. He holds a master’s degree in international economics from the University Paris Dauphine-PSL.
