The EUR/GBP climbed also as the euro traded strongly against the US dollar and all the crosses. This pair is trading at 0.8166 adding 28pips today. Sterling fell against the euro however, with the single currency hitting a two-month high of 81.66 pence after better-than-expected German business confidence data.
Minutes from the Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee showed policymakers expected the economy to remain flat in the near term but inflation to probably exceed 2 percent in the next year but the strength and momentum of the euro was unstoppable today.
