EUR/JPY Fundamental Analysis December 24, 2012 Forecast

Analysis and Recommendations:

The EUR/JPY tumbled by 99pts this morning as the euro lost its momentum and the JPY saw a market correction after being pushed down to record levels on additional easing from the Bank of Japan. The Governor of the Bank seemed to remain on his course and did not buckle to the demands of the newly elected prime minister. The Bank did as expected adding 10trillion yen but held inflation rates and said that after Mr. Abe had taken office they would review his demands at their January meeting. The euro fell after back to back eco data grabbed market attention. Also the US fiscal cliff seems to be beyond the Presidents reach, worrying traders who turned back to risk off mode pushing the US dollar off a recent low.

There are no eco events on the calendar for Monday, December 24 and markets will be closed on Tuesday December 25^th. Traders and politicians are expected to be out of their offices for the season with low volume and low volatility. The only global issue is the US fiscal deadline.
