Analysis and Recommendations:
The EUR/USD gave up 27 points today to trade at 1.2603 holding above the psychological support level of 1.26 but after weak manufacturing PMI data throughout the eurozone the euro continues to weaken. Traders are closely monitoring comments from the ECB ahead of Thursday’s meeting. Italy’s Sept manufacturing PMI moved into expansion territory amid recent reduction in the government’s growth forecasts. The other euro zone PMIs generally declined m/m (German index contracts for the first time in 15-months. The Bank of Spain says most recent data indicates 2% GDP growth by year end. Renewed selling pressure on the other hand, pushing the pair below yesterday’s low of 1.2570, should see the pair extending its decline down to 1.2530 areas first, and down to 1.2500/10 as the lowest for the day.
EUR/USD fell about 25 pips after Sept Final German PMI entered contraction territory (49.9 v 50.3 prelim) for the first time in 15-months. Euro Zone Sept Final Manufacturing PMI was similarly disappointing recording its lowest level of growth since July 2013
