Argentina’s industrial production fell 2.9% year-on-year in October 2025, deepening from the 0.7% drop in September. Eleven of the sixteen manufacturing divisions posted declines. The sharpest contractions were in textile products (-24%), apparel, leather and footwear (-15.1%), rubber and plastic products (-12%), and tobacco products (-12.4%). Other notable declines included metal products (-8.1%), wood, paper, publishing and printing (-3.4%), motor vehicles, bodies, trailers and auto parts (-4.1%), machinery and equipment (-2.2%), food and beverages (-1.7%), furniture and mattresses (-1.5%), and chemicals (-0.4%). In contrast, output increased in petroleum refining, coke and nuclear fuel (3.2%), non-metallic mineral products (1.1%), and basic metals (0.9%). On a monthly basis, industrial activity fell 0.8% seasonally adjusted.
