Belgium’s trade surplus widened to EUR 2,966.6 million in April 2025, reversing a EUR 438.6 million deficit in the same month a year earlier. Imports fell 14.6% year-on-year to EUR 37,215.1 million, with purchases from EU down 10.3% and those from Extra-EU countries sliding 22.0%. Exports declined 6.9% to EUR 40,181.7 million. Sales to EU partners dropped 4.5%, while shipments to Extra-EU countries fell 11.9%.
